2. Eligibility. Accounts for Students under 18 must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. If the Student is under 13, a parent or guardian must provide verifiable consent before use, as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Purpose. The Platform is provided solely for taekwondo instruction and related educational purposes.

4. Acceptable Use Policy. You are solely responsible for your Content. You agree not to upload, submit, or share anything that:

  • is threatening, defamatory, or invades another person's privacy;

5. License you grant. You keep ownership of your Content. You grant the School a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and use your Content only as needed to operate the Platform and provide instruction and feedback. We do not sell your Content or use it for advertising.

6. Our rights. We may review, remove, retain, or report any Content that violates these Terms or the law, and we may suspend or terminate accounts for violations. Where practical we will give notice, but we may act without notice when necessary to protect Members or comply with the law.

7. Content responsibility. The Platform hosts Content created by Members. The School is not responsible for Content submitted by other Members and does not endorse it.

Privacy Policy

Version 1.0

Effective date: 07/15/2026 · Version: 1.0

What we collect.

  • Account info: name, email, and — for minors — the parent/guardian's name and email.
  • Content you submit: training videos, photos, comments, messages, and review requests.
  • Usage/technical data: basic logs needed to operate and secure the Platform (e.g., timestamps and IP address for consent records and access logs).

Why we collect it. To provide instruction and feedback, operate and secure the Platform, send service emails (such as lesson releases and feedback notifications), and keep records of the agreements you have accepted.

Who processes your data (sub-processors). We use trusted service providers to run the Platform:

  • Railway — application hosting and PostgreSQL database
  • Cloudflare R2 — video and media storage
  • Resend — transactional/notification email

These providers process data only to provide their services to us.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Children's privacy (COPPA). The Platform is used by children with parental involvement. For Students under 13, we collect personal information (including video and photos) only after a parent or guardian provides verifiable consent through the sign-up flow. Parents/guardians may review their child's information, request its deletion, and withdraw consent at any time by contacting ptkdcenter @ gmail.com; withdrawing consent will close the child's account.

Data retention. We keep Content and account data while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete it. Consent records may be retained longer as proof of agreement.

Your choices. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your (or your child's) personal information at ptkdcenter @ gmail.com.

Security. We use reasonable technical measures to protect data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes. We will post updates here with a new effective date.

Parent/Guardian Consent, Assumption of Risk & Release

Version 1.1

Version: 1.1 · For Students under 18 — accepted by a parent or legal guardian.

By accepting below, I confirm that:

1. I am the parent or legal guardian of the Student named on this account, and I have authority to enter into this agreement on the Student's behalf.

2. Consent to participate. I give permission for the Student to use the Platform and participate in online taekwondo training.

3. Consent to data collection. I have read the Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and use of the Student's personal information as described, including videos, photos, and messages the Student submits.

4. I understand the risks. Taekwondo involves kicking, striking, stretching, and other strenuous movement. On this Platform, the Student practices techniques on their own, without in-person supervision. I understand this carries an inherent risk of injury — including sprains, strains, bruises, falls, and, though less common, more serious injuries — and that no online instruction can eliminate that risk. I am solely responsible for the safety of the Student's physical practice environment, and I release the School from liability for injuries arising from that environment.

5. Assumption of risk & release. Knowing these risks, I voluntarily agree that the Student may participate, and I release the School, its owners, instructors, employees, and contractors from liability for injuries or damages arising from the Student's participation, to the fullest extent permitted by law. I further agree to indemnify and hold the School, its owners, instructors, employees, and contractors, harmless from any claim brought by or on behalf of the Student arising from the Student's participation, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. Content responsibility. I understand the Student is responsible for the Content they submit, and I agree to the Acceptable Use standards in the Terms of Service on the Student's behalf.

7. Media permissions.

  • [Required] I permit the School to use the Student's training videos/photos for instruction and feedback only.
  • [Optional] I permit the School to use the Student's image in promotional materials (e.g., website, social media). I understand I may decline this and still use the Platform.

8. Severability. If any part of this release is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions — including the assumption of risk acknowledgment — remain in full effect.

9. Choice of Law. This release is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Captured at acceptance: parent/guardian name, relationship to Student, Student name, and the two media permissions above.

Adult Participant Acknowledgment

By accepting below, I confirm that I am 18 or older and that:

  1. I have read and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  2. I understand taekwondo is a strenuous physical activity that I will practice without in-person supervision, that this carries an inherent risk of injury, and I voluntarily assume that risk and will train within my ability.
  3. I release the School from liability for injuries or damages arising from my participation, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  4. I am responsible for the Content I submit and agree to the Acceptable Use standards.
